this is my new and improved double page spread for my music magazine

My media product's main audience would be mainly teens, this is because my magazine focuses on R and B music which is generally listen to by teenagers. MTV and viva would be main media institutions that would distribute my media product, The social group that it is aimed at would be middle class people, this is because they would have alot more leisure time to buy and read my magazine rather than the working class people who would have the money to buy the magazine but not the time. I attracted my audience by using bright colours, interesting slogans and eye catching articles, my masthead also has a big impact on the overall appearance of the magazine.

this is some research i carried out for ideas on my music magazine cover for example i needed ideas for an appropriate colour scheme and layout ideas. this is an example of a double page from a magazine called vibe as you can see i refered to these examples when it came to the layout ideas, in these examples the background wasn't changed this helps make the pages look interesting and appealing.

i liked this contents page but i didnt think it would suit my magazine mainly because it consisted of too many pictures, and less text,but i liked the layout of it.

Heres my contents page, i like the way i have created some sort of logo for my magazine at the bottom left corner of the page. i also used the same colour scheme as my front cover to help make them both look similar and appealing.

i have also added images that refer to some of the contents found in my magazine to give the reader a detail explaination and awareness of what to expect in my music magazine, for example the british tour dates as you can see i have included an image of the british flag and an aeroplane, this helps give my contents page a good look.

Heres my completed music magazone front cover, with the main image being me most of my magazine articles have some sort of relation to me being introduced into the new music industry. i chose my colour scheme because it gives my cover a nice mellow look.

this is my completed DBS(Double Page Spread) i used pictures of me and my mate dressed up as american musicians.

theres not a specific colour scheme used on these pages seeing as there double page spread, but i have applied my logo onto one of the pages to make the page look like a real article, unlike most double page spreads i haven't changed the backgrounds of the page i did this to help give my double page spread an authentic and interesting look.

At the moment i have successfully finished my front cover, contents page and double page spread for my music magazine.
all of the images used for my magazine are of me and my school freinds dressed up as RandB artists and music producers.
i referred to 'vibez' magazine for ideas and i particularly liked the idea of using a certain colour scheme for my front cover and contents page.
