I think my school magazine cover has important features that an ordinary school magazine would have, such as eyecatching articles, article relating pictures and the actual school masthead.
I decided to use the school colours to enhance the look of the magazine, i particularly like the way my images have been layed out. i would say the images that were added went well and made a big impact on the overall design.
To be honest the colour pallete used wasn't planned and was coincedent, but on the other hand the overall layout of both the images and articles were planned and deliberate.
My weaknesses would be the amount of empty space below the masthead,by comparing my magazine cover to a standard OCR version i would say my cover's colour choice
was not as vibrant as the OCR cover.
I have learnt that the layout and colours used on a magazine cover are essential as they make up most of the magazine.
As for my contents page i was trying to achieve some sort of novel theme by placing the content details all to one side, i would say my strenghts would be the way i have added the school logo to the page.
the refrence 'staying focused helps clear my mind' was coincedent but i believe it gives my page an eyecatching look.
i wouldn't say there were any weaknesses on my contents page however the only problem would be the lack of images used.
i would say the colours used relate to the magazine cover very well, and the images used also relate to what has been applied.
